We want you to have the best possible experience using EMERGE Access+. Since online consultations may feel different from traditional in-person visits, we’ve prepared a few tips to help you get the care you need — quickly and smoothly.

🧾 Before Your First Visit
Make sure your account information is accurate and up to date, including:

  • Province of residence
  • Date of birth
  • Legal first name (must match your government-issued photo ID)

⚠️ Important: Pharmacies and labs require your medical documents (like prescriptions and lab requisitions) to match your legal name. Inaccurate information may cause delays or rejections.

🧑‍💻 When You’re Ready to Request Care
To ensure your virtual visit goes smoothly, we recommend:

Finding a private, quiet space with a strong internet connection
Having your government-issued ID nearby, in case it’s needed
Uploading any supporting documents (e.g., medication bottles, recent lab results, or a list of current symptoms) directly to your account
Making sure notifications are enabled in your settings so you don’t miss updates.

🩺 Submitting a Request
When you click Get Care, be clear and specific about your needs. This helps the provider determine whether they can support you virtually. For example:

“I need a prescription refill for my usual blood pressure medication. I don’t remember the name but take it once a day.”

“I need a sick note for work for three days due to cold symptoms. No fever or COVID symptoms.”

You don’t need to know everything in advance — just give as much context as you can. If you have a specific outcome in mind (like a certain type of note or medication), include that too.

🎯 Reminder: As with in-person care, all medical decisions are at the discretion of the licensed provider reviewing your case. Specific outcomes (such as prescriptions or notes) are not guaranteed.
